Shauntell Bird was born and raised in Taylorsville, Utah.  She currently resides with her husband and young family in Elk Ridge, Utah. Shauntell has extensive training in numerous genres of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, and ballroom.  Shauntell furthered her dance knowledge by earning a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dance Education from Utah Valley University. While pursuing her degree she performed with Synergy Dance Company, a student directed company, as well as Contemporary Dance Ensemble, UVU’s pre-professional dance company. Shauntell has also danced for, and later coached, the Utah Flash Pinnacle Dancers (the Utah Jazz Developmental League).  She has shared her passion for dance with young dancers through teaching at various dance studios and has also had the opportunity to choreograph for several junior high and high school dance companies and drill teams in Utah.

Most recently Shauntell has enjoyed teaching dance and health at both an elementary and secondary level. Owning a dance studio where she can pass on her love and passion for the art of dance with young aspiring dancers has been her lifelong dream. Shauntell looks forward to positively influencing the lives of youth for many years to come through the creative environment at The Ridge Academy of Dance.
