Competition Team Auditions
We are so excited to announce that The R.A.D. will be competing this
year!
If your dancer is 10 yrs of age or older and looking to be challenged
in their dance technique and performance, I invite them to come be a part of
our NEW Competition Team this year.
AUDITION DATES:
August 10th
& 11th from 5:00 to 7:00pm

August 10th will be a mandatory
clinic where dancers will learn technique and a routine that will be used
during auditions the following evening.

August 11th will be the
official audition day. Students will be expected to come knowing the audition
technique and routine that was taught the previous day. DANCERS REQUIRED TO
WEAR ALL BLACK TO AUDITIONS
AUDITION
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Any dancers 10 yrs of age or older are welcome
to come audition whether they are a returning student or new to The R.A.D. (If your dancer will turn 10 yrs. Old within
the 2015- 2016 school year they are welcome to come audition)

Dancers will be asked to demonstrate the
following technical skills: right & left splits, tilt stretches, double
pirouettes, fouttes, grande jete leaps, side leaps, and stag leaps. (feel free to call/text/email me with any
questions understanding what the different skills listed are)
THE COMMITMENT:
-The R.A.D.
Competition Team will be competing a Jazz routine and a Contemporary routine at
2-3 different competitions during the Spring of 2016. There is a $25 annual
competition registration fee per dancer to cover the cost of competing for the
year. Dates of competitions TBA. Competition Team members will also perform at
both the Winter & Spring Recitals.
- Competition Team
members will be required to take 4 hours of class per week: 1 hr. Competition
Team, 1 hr. Ballet Technique, 1 hr. Jazz Technique, and 1 hr. (or more) of a
genre of choice (Hip Hop, Pre-Pointe, Ballroom, Cheer & Tumbling). See

- Financial Commitment:
Competition Team monthly tuition will range from $90 to $95 dollars a month (4
classes) depending on class choices. There will be a $25 competition
registration fee that will be due by January 10th. Competition Team
members will need to pay for the following costumes: 2 costumes for competition
routines ($80) as well as Competition Team sweats ($80), 1 Ballet costume
($40), 1 Jazz costume ($40), and 1 class of choice costume ($40). Annual costume fee total: $280 with
$120 due by October 10th, and $160 due by January 10th. There
may also be additional dance shoes and tights that will need to be purchased
through out the dance year. Lastly, Competition Team members will be asked
to pay a $10 recital fee (per family), which comes with 2 complimentary tickets,
before each of the Winter & Spring recitals.
There it is… that is
all the money that will be asked of you through out the year. I know it may seem overwhelming, but I try
to keep my prices on everything as affordable as possible. I suggest splitting
up the costume, sweats, and competition fees to where you will be paying a
small portion of them monthly instead of having to pay a large chunk all at
once. Please let me know if there are ever questions or financial binds so that
we can work out a plan that will work for you. I want all dancers to be able to
participate that have the desire to.

my amazing Junior &Teen aged dancers at the auditions. I am so excited for
this upcoming year and the opportunities that await.
